Celebrating our Wins and Looking Forward to 2022

Corruption. Gerrymandering. Extremism. Attacks on the ballot initiative process. Our democracy has faced many challenges these past few years.

The good news? With your support, Show Me Integrity is on it.

We’ve already passed multiple laws to improve democracy at local and state levels.

Now in 2022, we look forward to running even more campaigns. Using the ballot initiative process, Show Me Integrity Action Fund will work to pass campaign finance, ethics, and election reform to increase accountability, transparency, and representation in our government.

It’s time to solve all of these problems—for good—and with your help, Show Me Integrity is ready for the fight.

Before we close out the year, we want to take a look back on all that we accomplished together during these past few years as we fought for a more ethical, effective government.

In the spring of 2019, we launched a campaign to reform St. Louis’s broken elections. We passed it in 2020 with 68% of the vote, establishing a new election system that ensures winners have broad support from and accountability to all voters.

Our supporters in St. Louis launched the Reform St. Louis coalition at the beginning of 2021 to pass reform at the Board of Aldermen. After gathering over 30,000 signatures, Proposition R has been certified by the Board of Elections to be on the April 5, 2022 ballot.

During the 2020 election season, with your support Show Me Integrity ran our successful cross-partisan Pandemic Voting Project.

We carried on our work in 2021 by partnering with Business for America and helped build a coalition of 1,118 Missouri-based and nationwide businesses for a meeting with Senator Roy Blunt’s Chief of Staff and State Director. During this meeting, we stressed how a stable business climate depends on a stable democracy. That is why businesses support the bipartisan Voting Rights Advancement Act.

In summer 2021, Show Me Integrity ran our Open Maps Missouri campaign to collect over 175 community interest maps from citizens across the state. These maps will be combined into statewide reports and recommendations that can be used by the redistricting commissions and judicial panels during our state’s current redistricting process.

We’ve made major progress together these past 2 years as we’ve fought for a more ethical, effective government—and we’re just getting started. But we need your support if we’re going to continue to be successful in this fight.

Invest at least $100 by December 31 to receive access to the thank-you event where Andrew Yang will answer your questions about political reform, American politics, the Forward Party, and more! Show Me Integrity will also announce important updates about our 2022 agenda.
